Messed up everything in my iCloud contacts

I gave this two stars because the interface was easy to use and it is a swell idea. But, since using this app, I have over 31,000 useless entries in my contacts! It sent multiple duplicates of my contacts with "CHARSET=UTF-8:" in them. These are making voice dialing through Siri while driving impossible and hanging up my laptop Contacts program such that I cant even use it. Gah! How do I make this stop?
